Sanitation
Jutogh Cantonment Board is responsible for overall sanitations of the Jutogh Cantonment such as garbage lifting, waste disposal, cleaning of drains, public roads & various public places. The sanitation section of Jutogh Cantonment Board looks after such areas as public roads &places, waste disposal, cleaning of drains and garbage lifting. In order to provide a clean and safe environment, the Board has started door to door collection of Municipal waste for separation of bio & non-bio degradable waste. Mobile plastic, dustbins are placed at suitable. Jutogh Cantonment is maintaining over 30 dustbins and 20 manpower for provisioning of conservancy services.
Jutogh Cantonment Board is implementing guidelines issued by the Ministry of Urban Development under Swachh Bharat Mission. Regular cleaning drives with public participation are being encouraged. Jutogh Cantonment was ranked 3rd cleanest Cantonment in India by Ministry of Urban Development, Govt. of India in the year 2019. A Composting plant has been started recently by The Board. Board is maintaining 03 Public Toilets which are accessible to Divyangs.
Citizens Responsibilities
- The citizens are responsible for deposit of garbage at the dust bins provided by the Board.
- The citizens shall not use or permit to be used as latrines or urinal any place not intended for the purpose.
- Citizens shall take all reasonable means to prevent child from easing in public street or public places.
- The citizens will provide receptacles of self-closing type within their premises
- The occupier of all Bungalow/Houses will keep their premises neat and clean.
